My colors are from this weeks Color Throwdown which I belive is #108

Can you actually over distress a card? I think I might have..lol It looks like I threw it in the street and a few trucks ran it over..I was going for a distressed look but I think I got carried away.. I like it though!

I used a piece of Crumb Cake (AKA Kraft) as my base and then I added a layer of retired So Saffron DSP and rounded the corners using a 1/2″ Corner Rounder.. Then I stamped my flowers in Chocolate Chip from the Hostess level 2 set Fast & Fabulous on Confetti Cream, Then I stamped the 2nd Stamp (Step 2 Stamping) in So Saffron & Crumb Cake..

I roughed the edges with the cutter tool kit and used some Chocolate Chip ink on the edges.. As I did with my card base and DSP layer.. I added a scallop border in Chocolate Chip and popped it up.. Then I stamped the Thank You from the Short & Sweet Set in Chocolate Chip onto a piece of Confetti Cream added some more Chocolate Chip ink and adhered it to the card and added a Chocolate Chip Button!

I hope everyone has a great weekend planned ahead.. My husband came home from work @ 9:30am today. I have a sick kiddo home again today though so we can’t get out and do anything but he is enjoying a day of PlayStation to himself While I catch up on some stamping!!!

My base is Kraft with layers of Orchid Opulence, Old Olive & Rich Razzleberry.. The color challenge had an extra option you could add in with the swirls.. So, I ran the Orchid piece through Big Shot with a texture plate. Tip* spritz your card stock with some rubbing alcohol before you run it through with a texture plate and you will get a deeper impression.

I hope everyone has sunshine where you are.. it’s almost 80 out here with lots of sunshine.. I have 2 sick kiddos though so I wish they were feeling better so we could be outside.. One is having some Asthma issues and the outdoors is not his friend right now and the other caught a stomach bug.. Maybe they will be feeling better tomorrow an we can get out for a walk!

Last week was the letter “C” I choose the Jumbo Wheel “Classic Stars“..

My Colors come right off the In Color Combination Chart ( if you’d like one of these charts let me know..) and my Layout is from Clean & Simple Stamping FTL #61.

My colors are Soft Suede, Cameo Coral, Certainly Celery & Bermuda Bay. I also used the set Fundamental Phrases, Large & Small Star Punches, the 1 3/4 in circle punch and the Scalloped Border Punch. My ribbon is Soft Suede Polka Dotted Ribbon.

This week we are on the letter “D” and D is for Dazzle!! break out those sets that begin with the letter “D” and add some Dazzle to your card or Just make a card with some Dazzle to it.. This can be some bling, a bold colors or a great layout.. Get creative!!
