Sorry for the late post today.. I was up late making my card and then I had an early AM Appointment over in Bethesda today. Took me almost 2 hours to get there… Traffic is nuts on the 495 Beltway here in MD.. Anywho~ onto my card for this week..

This week Shirley and I are using the new set Greeting Card Kids.. LOVE IT!!! These kids are so cute.

It was bright out when I took my photo so if you click on the image you can see it better…. I used the Color Coach to get my colors… Very Vanilla, Pink Pirouette, Sahara Sand & Always Artichoke. I added some Smooch Top Coat to the focal image.

I love the way the ruffle came out along the edge of the DSP… I crumbled a piece of card stock after I punched it with the scallop border and very careful pulled the layers apart. I added some smooch on the ruffles as well.. They look so soft!

I made 12 of these, my card base is Crumb Cake with a layer of Baja Breeze that was embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper (Textured Impressions) folder. After I embossed the image I ran my Whisper White craft pad over the image and the edges of the crumb cake. I used the Dotted Scallop Ribbon border Punch and placed that on a strip of Crumb Cake. I cut out the focal image from the Matchbox die using the Big Shot and I stamped it with the Great Friend set in Crumb Cake and White.

I used the Butterfly Embosslit for my Butterflies in Baja Breeze and Crumb Cake.. My die sadly died while I was making this card..lol So, towards the last few cards I had to use different size butterflies and mix up the colors. Believe it or not you can actually use your stuff to the point it gives out on you..I might need to take a Butterfly Break!

I started with the Butterflies first.. I stamped the Happy Birthday from Teeny Tiny Wishes on 1/2 a 2″ piece of Eggplant in Eggplant and then I ran that through the Big Shot with the Butterflies Embosslit. Then I ran a piece of Baja Breeze through it too. My card base is 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 Crumb Cake, I cut a pice of retired DSP in Crumb Cake (Kraft) and layered that with some Eggplant & Baja Breeze. Stamped the Flourish in Baja Breeze from “Friends 24/7″ and pierced along the top and bottom.

I added a white button from the retired buttons, and some tiny half back pearls. Then I went to the inside of the card, that was a puzzle… I cut out 2 top Notes using the Big shot in Eggplant and Baja Breeze. I layered them and stamped my sentiment from the new level 3 hostess set Occasional Quotes. Some more pearls and butterflies and Ta Da!!! I love it, it’s so elegant and girly!

Let’s get WICKED!! This week Shirley and I are using the new set “Wicked Cool”. I made another card with this set last week you can see here..I cased this from the catty, changing up what I have on hand. Love it!!!!

My card base is 3×3 in Rich Razzelberry. I also used some Wicked Fun DSP and embossed the Spiderwebs in White. For the black strip along the edge I put a line of Tombo Multi and sprinkled on some Black Glitter from the Fine Galaxy collection. It’s hard to see the sparkle but it adds just the right touch.

Not a huge improvement but you get the idea… 2 more of these boxes on that bottom shelf and it will look cute and not cluttered!

Here’s a look at the box inside… The large box comes with 2 removable inserts.. this is the adhesive strip you can attach the inserts into the bottom. I choose not too incase I want to change the box up later on.

You can fit 20 Bigz or Originals Dies or you can store 10 Bigz XL dies which is what I did.

I have 9 Bigz XL dies in here ( and I know I have one still in plastic, Hey it’s been in that plastic for a year…lol ) and the Premium Crease pad.. The Cutting plates for these dies will not fit in the box.

I didn’t do much stamping this week as you can see by my lack of post. I did do some today, I need to get some photos of them in the AM and then I will have them up.. Tomorrow is Friday!! Time for a Mashup.. Shirley and I will be using the new set “Wicked Cool” So check back for those..

It’s 2:30am time for sleep, I just got back from seeing a midnight showing of the movie SALT.. AWESOME!! I think it’s going to be like the Bourne movies with Matt Damon.. See ya tomorrow!!!

My card base is Basic Black and measures 5 1/2 x 5 1/2. I punched out some squares from retired DSP in Melon Mambo and then I sewed a random pattern over each square. My circle is Whisper White and layered with Daffodil Delight. I added some Black Grosgrain 5/8″ Ribbon and a Rhinestone brad.

The Zebra is from a Digital Cutter Cartridge… and the Sentiment is from a retired SU set called Hugs and Wishes.. I paper pierced a line under the Sentiment. My Zebra is Basic Black, Whisper White, Basic Grey, Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight. I used the Circle Scissors Plus to cut out my circles. This is another great tool to have!

I need to run another wicked thunder storm has rolled in and the lights are flickering…Hope you all had a great weekend!

I love this new Halloween set.. It’s called “Wicked Cool” and it’s so me.. I love Witches!  Make sure you check in next Friday for Friday Mashup where Shirley and I will be using this set.. I used the  new DSP called Wicked Fun and the Ribbon Border punch. I’m still using my old ribbons, I have a ton.

I cased the idea of this card from the new Catalog and I changed some of the elements up and used what I had on hand. They made a cute favor box with this set.. I turned it into a card. My base is Old Olive with some WIcked Fun DSP and my Ribbon Border is Pumpkin Pie.. Using some Chunky Black Glitter I added a border around my focal image and the edge of the DSP following the pattern that was there.

I stamped the Witch Boots 2x’s in Razzleberry and then in Old Olive and cut out the Olive pair and layered them with Dimensionals. This is the first time I’ve ever done the Ribbon thing where you add it around a Circle.. See I don’t even know what it’s called..lol So it’s not perfect..lol I just realized I forgot my Bat.. Ha Ha!! I was going to punch out a bat and add it to the corner of the circle..Oh well I’ll get back to that.

I hope everyone had a great week and you have lots planned for a fun weekend. We are getting used to the fact that my husband is still home and doesn’t have to go anywhere.. That’s out of the norm for us! I think we are going to see Despicable Me this weekend.

I’m here, been running around, doing errands, organizing and laundry is piling up..

I had a disappointment though, I goofed and ordered the wrong markers…I was a bit excited when I put my order in, I already had those markers Ha Ha!! Wanna see what I got?????? Of course you do!!

I got 4 new Stamp sets, Wicked Cool, Greeting Card Kids, Aviary, Make a Monster all cling mount and 2 Background stamps Wood Grain not new but to me it is and Wonderfully Worn. DSP in Love Letter, Wicked Fun & the In Color pack Hostess set. Some paper I needed and the In Color Inks we couldn’t get during the pre-order and a few other new pad colors. The new Ribbon Border Punch, I can’t wait to use this.. and my favorite item of all .. The Sizzix Large Storage box. I know right? A storage box who knew..

I’m love the color of this box, inside is a celery green and the outside is like the Early Espresso color.. and it holds 10 of the BigzXL dies or 20 of the Bigz or Original Dies.. This is going to look so much nicer on a shelf. I want more and lots of them!!

Once I get it on the shelf I’ll take a before and after pix and show you how great it’s going to look… I haven’t had a chance to play with anything yet, only torn into that box, spent the day with my kiddos at the mall and now I’m off to watch The Bounty Hunter.. So I will have something new up tomorrow..

You could use a set that began with “Y” or make a card using you’re, your, or you.. So I went with “you” in thank you… This card has 3 challenges in it… Sunday Stamps, Color Throwdown #100 and FTL #89

I love the way this card came out… has to be one of my favorites to date! I added some Dazzling Diamonds to my Butterfly Wings and I can’t get enough of this Flight of the Butterfly set. I used the Modern label punch and ” Thank You” is from the set Short & Sweet.

I’ve had this Square Lattice embossing folder forever and never used it.. all I can say is it ROCKS!!! it gives a very unique texture to the card stock. This one will be popping up a lot on here.. Check out the card Lisa made for the letter “Y” below..

This is the final week for Sunday Stamps we’ve gone threw the alphabet twice now.. and this week is the letter “Z” break out the sets that begin with “Z”, make a page about a trip to the zoo, use Zoo animals on your card or make a ZANY card..link up and all showcase your card on Sunday with mine.
