Sunday Stamps…

This week was the letter “P” I chose to make a card featuring Polka Dots…Out of all the Designer Paper in the catalog this year and last this is by far my favorite! To the Nines is specialty paper because it’s thicker and it has texture.. I really like the colors in it.

For my card I also used today’s Sweet Sunday Sketch:

My card base is Chocolate Chip with some DSP paper. I added a piece of Sage Shadow and sponged the edges and stamped one of the hearts from the “I {Heart} Hearts” Stamp set. I also stamped 3 more on a piece of Very Vanilla in Chocolate Chip and cut them out. I added a Vanilla button to one of them as well.

My XOXO is stamped on a piece of Very Vanilla with the edges sponged in Chocolate Chip also. I inked up the letters from the Define your Life Alphabet with a Sage Shadow Marker.. I stamped the Definition from Define your life over them in Chocolate Chip.

All this talk of Chocolate Chip is making me CRAZY!! I’m on day #5 of no Chocolate.. Yes, that is a sin against stamping, we all know you must have chocolate when you stamp..lol But I’m on a mission and I think I can do it.. I want to go 30 days without chocolate, I’ve been cutting sugar out of my diet and that is my one weakness…

So enough talk of chocolate… Next week is the letter “Q” and that was a tricky one last time. if you have a set that begins with “Q” break it out or make a card using a Queen image, a Quirky saying or something that looks like a Quilt.. Have fun with it!

Have a great week.. I will be posting off and on I have some major studying to catch up on so I can’t promise I will post everyday this week.. But I will try to get a few in there!

Did you know….

That March is National Craft Month? What are your plans for crafting? Do you knit, sew, scrapbook, make cards or paint? Set some time aside this month to get some crafting done…

This is my first project for the month.. I’m not going to put a goal out there of how much I want to get done because it will never happen..lol

I broke out my shimmer paints today, you may have seen them in the Holiday Mini Catalog.. Well they are still available if you didn’t get them.. I added some ink refill to my shimmer paint to make add some shimmer to the ink.. I choose Pacific Point & the Frost White Shimmer Paint.

You can’t really see it in my photo above but if you click on the photo it will enlarge it and you can really see the shimmer.. I used a VersaMark Dazzle in Frost to stamped the Image a second time to give it a slight Shadow.. My colors are from the In Color Chart for last year.. Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip, Pacific Point & Kraft.. I used this weeks MoJo Monday Sketch for my Layout!

And I need to address something real quick and get it out of the way.. All of the cards that I post on here are the property of myself and are not to be copied or posted on another site without my permission.. If you like something and want to share it no problem.. Just ask or give credit when you post it..

I hope everyone is having a great week.. We got snow last night and the kids were off today, so this card took me all day..lol It’s starting to melt which means it will be a mess when it gets cold tonight.. Happy Stamping!!

I Heart Hearts..

I made this card for this week’s Sunday Stamps… We are on the letter “O”.. You had your choice of using a set that begins with the letter “O” or make a project that showcased Orange or Ovals.. I chose Orange!

I went over to The Sweetest Thing and used this weeks Sunday Sketch..This is a great layout!

My card is partial Monochromatic, I used Dusty Durango, Pumpkin Pie & Crushed Curry.. These colors go well together and I pulled them from the Razzelberry Lemonade DSP I used. My base is Dusty Durango and my squares are the DSP.. I punched out the Designer Label from Pumpkin Pie & Crushed Curry.. My hearts are stamped using the Rock N’ Roll Technique..and I added a piece of Crushed Curry polka Dotted Ribbon for the finishing touch!

This week we are on the letter “P” break out those sets that being with the letter “P” or make a project using Purple or Polka Dots or both.. show us watch you got and leave a link in the comment section below…

Oh Alice!!

I found a new Challenge Blog and it should be interesting coming up with cards for this one.. I love Alice in Wonderland and I can’t wait for the new Tim Burton Movie with Johhny Depp.. I will be seeing it in 3-D IMAX!

The Blog is called Oh Alice.. and we’re on Chapter one Down the Rabbit Hole. The challenge is Alice Gets Glam, the inspiration comes from the new Alice in Wonderland Book of shadows from Urban Decay..

I got my hands on this gorgeous palette a few weeks ago and you can’t go wrong with inspiration from these colors.. There is just the right amount of Glitter and bold colors for everyone…

This is my first time using Digital Stamps and I have to say I don’t like them.. There isn’t anything wrong with Digital stamps.. But they aren’t for me I don’t have the patience so don’t expect to see many more cards with digital images from me.. These images are adorable and I wish they were in rubber too!! (if anyone has some tips on sizing them or coloring them so they don’t smear.. please share with me)

My Alice looks a bit naughty with those shoes she has on..lol But this image is adorable..and right up my alley.. The image and sentiment are from Sassy Studios. This was a fun card to make.. My Mushrooms are from CTMH and I’ve had this set laying around for ages.. I love the way it came out though..

I printed Alice out and colored her in with Watercolor Wonder Crayons and a touch of ink.. and My Mushrooms are stamped in Black StazOn on watercolor paper and colored in with ink and an Aqua painter.. Very Sassy! I added some Bling with Rhinestones..

Spot-Lighting w/ a Punch..

I love this technique.. out of every technique I’ve learned and have seen this is my favorite when it comes to detailed images and those ones you just don’t know what to do with.

This is going to be Monday Stamps since I didn’t get it done in time for Sunday.. We were on the letter “N” and you could use a set that began with the letter “N” or use something new.. I went with something new, way back in August I saw this set in a store and didn’t get it… While my mom was here we went back and there it was all alone looking at me.

But, there’s a catch it’s one of those “What do I do, with it now, that I have it” stamps.. I’m very proud that I broke it out and used it before a few years had passed like some other stamps I won’t mention…lol

I stamped the image in Black StazOn and adhered it to my card base.. I used the new Scallop Trimmed Border along the bottom of it. I had a pice of Pattern Paper (Non SU) and cut some strips of the design and added those. I stamped “Happy Halloween” in Black on Pumpkin Pie and punched it out with the Word Window punch and then I added a black brad to it.

Spot-Lighting with a punch is really easy you stamp the image a second time and then punch out the area you want to focus on and then you color in just that portion and then re-adhere it over the original image.

For this week we are on the letter “O” so you want to break out those sets that began with “O” or make something that is Orange or something with Ovals…Should be pretty easy.. Post a link to your card in the comment section below..

My blog has reached 10,000 + Blog hits since it’s make over so I will be posting Blog Candy on Wednesday.. So make sure you check back for that.. I need to get everything photographed!

So Sad :(

It’s been a fun ride but this is the last week for the Challenges over at Twilight Tuesday.. I’ve had a lot of fun playing along.. They will be missed, but all good things must come to an end they say.

This card is for the final Sketch Challenge and Jacob’s Colors Color Challenge #4.. I really like these colors..

Check out this cool pattern paper (non SU) I had in my stash..It was perfect! Lot’s of Olive with a hint of Russet and a touch of Black..

These are Jacob’s colors so I had to use a wolf only fitting.. My stamps are from Artfully Inkables. I used SU’s Modern Label punch for my sentiment and the small Oval punch to back it.. I cut the wolf out with the Coluzzle and the black oval behind it. Both images are stamped on watercolor paper.

I stamped my images in Timber Brown StazOn and it failed me big time.. this is the second time this has happen with this ink pad.. So I can say don’t use this ink pad when you are using watercolor paper..

There are a few more challenges I didn’t get a chance to do yet so I’m going to work on those tomorrow. Check back to take a look..

Sunday Stamps

I wanted to get this up yesterday, but it wasn’t happening. My children shared their cold with me and it seems to be worse for adults..lol My mom was here for a week as well and she left today with it so we kindly passed it along… We had lots of stamping planned while she was here but it didn’t happen I managed to get this card made and that was it!

So anyways..This is for Sunday Stamps the letter “M” and FTL #78 I like this layout, it’s different and there are a lot of different ways you could do it.

I used the set Many Merry Messages for the Sunday Stamps Portion and then I used the pine cone image from Autumn Harvest for the focal point. I added some opaque white glitter to the tops of the pine cones to look like snow..

So this week we are on the letter “N” break out those sets that begin with the letter “N” or use something new in your creation. That would be something you just got or something you’ve had in your stash and never used.
